Jonathan “JP” Pennington

Jonathan “JP” Pennington is an Operating Partner with IES Safety, LLC and a retired fire service professional with more than three decades of experience in fire protection, emergency response, occupational safety, and industrial risk management. His career includes twenty years with the Ashland Fire Department, where he served in roles ranging from Firefighter to Battalion Chief, as well as extensive leadership in private-sector safety, security, and emergency response operations across the United States. Jonathan is also an adjunct faculty member teaching environmental, health, and safety courses at Ohio University and Eastern Kentucky University. He holds multiple certifications in safety, security, industrial hygiene, and fire investigation, and continues to support the advancement of firefighter readiness and community safety.
